Trainee Program Review
Hello all!
In response to recent issues with some of our newly hired trainees abusing permissions and banning innocent players, the Executive Team has launched an investigation and a review into the permissions of trainees and their role in the NetherGames Network.
The following changes will be made to the trainee program, effective now:
- A new staff rank created - Crew - to be established between the Trainee and Staff ranks
- Trainees will be required to participate in the trainee program for 2 weeks
- Trainees will mainly manage player support, with no permissions to punish players
- Trainees will have direct communication with staff members, Crew and up, to report players caught breaking network rules
- If trainees show potential within the two weeks of the program, they will be promoted to Crew and have power to punish players directly
- Trainees who do not show potential or are not active enough can be fired at the discretion of the Executive Team

Plot Contest - February
Hello NetherGames players,
Your volcano plots will be checked soon and a winner will be chosen shortly! The plot contest will be held again this month, with the theme being Universe. You may use one creative, mega, or platinum plot to build something that reflects this theme. This could be anything from constellation pixel art to a giant valentine planet! You may add helpers to your plot, but please note that the owner under /p info is the only one who can get the reward. If you would like this reward to go to a helper or a friend, please give the plot to them using /p give before submitting your plot. Last month’s creative plot contest, Christmas Festival, went very well with many plots submitted to be assessed soon to find a winner! This month we are continuing the plot contest, with this month’s theme being Volcano. You may use one creative, mega, or platinum plot to build something that reflects this thing. Helpers may be added to aid in your build, however the owner of the plot is the only one eligible to win for the plot. If you would like the reward to go to someone else or a helper, please give the plot to them using /p give before submitting it under that person’s name. Once all plot contests are submitted and the winner is determined, you may ask for your plot to be archived to build on more plots. The reward for winning this month’s contest is an Ultra rank or a free rank upgrade. New levels/XP & vote for kit selection system
Hello NetherGames players,
Today we've released our levels on all 1.2 servers (1.1 does not have this yet)! This new levels/XP system will promote more competition against players. The system is based on the vanilla one, and displayed in the XP bar (this is just below, or near your health and hunger bars). Your level will also display as green text in the bar. Your level and XP is also synced across all servers and saved - a new leaderboard for the most XP is now available online at ngmc.co/a. We are currently working on a way to display your level in your nametag.
You can gain XP by:
- Participating in a game
- Killing another player
- Winning a game
There is also a weekend boost - this means you can get double the XP you would normally get on weekdays by playing on weekends!
